US Tile Saxony® 900 Slate Concrete Tile in Edmonton
US Tile Saxony® 900 Slate is a flat concrete roof tile with a natural-slate look, engineered for a stronger adhesive bond, fewer pieces per roof and a Class A fire rating — backed by a non-prorated, fully transferable limited lifetime warranty.
What it is
Saxony 900 Slate is a flat concrete tile drawing on the slate roofs of England, Northern Europe and the eastern seaboard. US Tile redesigned it with a flat back and thicker mid-body for better adhesive contact and a larger format that means fewer tiles across the roof.
Who it’s for: homeowners who want the clean, tailored look of slate with the durability of concrete.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is Saxony 900 Slate real slate?
No. It is a concrete tile with a slate-style texture. It gives the look of slate in a concrete tile backed by US Tile’s limited lifetime warranty.
How is it different from Hartford Slate or Country Slate?
All three are flat Saxony 900 concrete tiles with a slate look. Hartford Slate has a textured natural-slate surface, Country Slate adds bevelled edges for a staggered appearance, and Saxony 900 Slate is the cleanest, most tailored of the three.
Can my existing roof take tile?
Concrete and clay tile are much heavier than asphalt shingles. Before quoting a tile roof, especially a re-roof, we confirm the structure is rated for the load and bring in an engineer where needed.
